Lajcak: Brussels discussions to address "concrete steps" to unblock implementation of agreement

BRUSSELS - The EU special envoy for the Belgrade-Pristina dialogue Miroslav Lajcak has announced he would convene the chief negotiators of the two parties in Brussels on Tuesday "to work out concrete steps" to unblock the implementation of an agreement on the path to normalisation of relations.

War in the Middle East on the brink of expanding, EU’s Borrell says

European foreign policy chief Josep Borrell said on Monday that the Middle East was close to seeing the conflict expanding into Lebanon just days after Lebanon's Iran-backed Hezbollah threatened EU member Cyprus.

"The risk of this war affecting the south of Lebanon and spilling over is every day bigger," Borrell told reporters ahead of a foreign ministers meeting in Luxembourg. 

EU foreign affairs chief expresses solidarity with Cyprus over Hezbollah threats

The EU's representative for foreign affairs, Josep Borrell, had a phone call on Friday with the Cypriot foreign minister, Constantinos Kombos, regarding Hezbollah's recent threats against Cyprus. 

During the call, Borell expressed his solidarity with Cyprus and called for de-escalation in the Middle East. 

EU Foreign Ministers Propose Limits on Russian Diplomats' Movement

Eight foreign ministers have jointly proposed a significant measure aimed at curtailing the activities of Russian diplomats within the European Union. According to Politico, these ministers have urged Josep Borrell, the EU's top representative for foreign policy, to revoke the right of free movement for Russian diplomats and their family members across EU member states.
