An indictment on the assassination of Russian Ambassador to Turkey Andrey Karlov has been completed and sent to the prosecutor’s office.

Turkey first heard about Uğur Rıfat Karlova, a Turkish entertainer living in Taiwan, when he won the "Best Host" award in 2012 at Taiwan's Golden Bell Awards, which is the Taiwanese equivalent to the Emmy Awards. He was the first foreigner to receive an award in that category.

New photos showing Turkish policeman Mevlüt Mert Altıntaş hours before he killed Andrey Karlov, Russia's ambassador to Ankara, have been revealed. 

One more person was arrested in connection with the assassination of Russian Ambassador Andrey Karlov by an Ankara court order on Aug. 13.

A former policeman has been arrested over the 2016 assassination of Russian Ambassador to Ankara Andrei Karlov, Turkey's state-run Anadolu Agency reported on July 26.

A foreign cryptography expert hired by the Ankara Prosecutor's Office has reportedly failed to crack the phone used by the assassin of the late Russian Ambassador to Turkey Andrey Karlov, who was killed in Ankara in December 2016. 

A former Turkish civil servant and suspected senior member of the Gülen movement was detained on April 5 in connection with a case concerning the 2016 assassination of Russian Ambassador to Ankara Andrei Karlov. 

The United States is awaiting evidence from Turkey over U.S.-based Islamic preacher Fethullah Gülen's alleged links to the 2016 assassination of Russian Ambassador to Ankara Andrei Karlov, and will consider an extradition request accordingly, Justice Department spokesperson Nicole Navas Oxman has said.

A Russian intelligence team was unable to crack the phone of Mevlüt Mert Altıntaş, the assassin who in late 2016 shot dead former Russian Ambassador to Turkey Andrey Karlov, daily Hürriyet reported on March 9.
