President to meet retired sailing Olympian on Monday
Greek President of Greece Katerina Sakellaropoulou has invited retired Olympic sailing star Sofia Bekatorou at the Presidential Mansion on Monday, the Presidency announced on Sunday.
The invitation comes after Bekatorou, now 43, revealed that she had been sexually assaulted by a senior member of the country's sailing federation ahead of the 2000 Sydney Olympics when she was aged 21.
Debate on pandemic goes to Parliament
As the lockdown was extended for another week Friday, government spokesman Christos Tarantilis announced that Parliament will next Friday serve as the stage where the government and main opposition SYRIZA will cross swords regarding the management of the coronavirus pandemic.

President says Capitol Hill violence was a ‘dark moment in American history'
The attack on the Capitol building by supporters of outgoing US President Donald Trump was a "dark moment in American history, Greek President Katerina Sakellaropoulou said on Thursday.
"Respect for the rules is the essence of democracy. Yesterday's violence is a dark moment in American history and those who instigated it bear great responsibility," she said in a tweet.
New cabinet to be sworn in, in installments
Greek President Katerina Sakellaropoulou will be presiding over the swearing-in of the country's new cabinet members on Tuesday. Due to coronavirus concerns, the newly appointed ministers and deputies will be sworn in, in separate groups, starting at 11 a.m.

Vaccinations continue for healthcare workers
Front-line staff members at Greece's hospitals continue to receive their first dose of the Covid-19 vaccine for a second day Monday.
Vaccinations will be carried out at Attica's five reference hospitals: Evangelismos, Sotiria, Attikon, Thriasio and Asklipion.
