Vucic: Key words - responsibility and work

LAZAREVAC - Special session marking the first year in office of the Serbian government was held at the Kolubara mining basin on Monday, and Prime Minister Aleksandar Vucic stressed that the key words are responsibility and work.

All those who want to stay in the government must keep working constantly, the prime minister said at the session opening.

RB Kolubara worker gets killed

BELGRADE - A fatal accident happened to a worker in the Kolubara mining basin's open pit mine Tamnava - Zapadno Polje when a beam carried by a machine fell on him and killed him Thursday morning, the Serbian Interior Ministry told Tanjug.

The accident occurred around 9 a.m. while the employee was performing his work.

Director of UNOPS visits Serbia

BELGRADE - Serbia's Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Ivica Dacic met in Belgrade Monday with Executive Director of United Nations Office for Project Services (UNOPS) Grete Faremo and thanked her for the organization helping Serbia recover form the devastating flooding that had hit it in 2014.

Coal production in Tamnava resumes

KOLUBARA - Coal is being mined again in the Tamnava - Zapadno polje mine pit, the most significant open pit of the Kolubara mining basin which was inundated in the May flooding.

The production in the open pit was restarted in the presence of Prime Minister Aleksandar Vucic, who said that the Serbian energy system will be stable and that there will be no restrictions.
