BELGRADE -- The sale of Komercijalna Banka (bank), where the government is the biggest shareholder, is in sight and should be completed by 2017.

This has been announced by the head of the National Bank of Serbia department for financial institution monitoring Djordje Jevtic.

BELGRADE -- Komercijalna Banka (bank) AD Beograd "continued to successfully operate in 2014 and accomplished all its objectives set in the Strategy and Business Plan."

The bank reported an increase in volume of operations of RSD 42,5 billion or 12 percent, which provided it with a market share of approximately 13 percent.

Dinar almost unchanged against euro, rate at RSD 120.1831

BELGRADE - The dinar has not changed significantly against the euro, and the official middle exchange rate stands at RSD 120.1831, the National Bank of Serbia has stated.

The Serbian currency is 1.3 percent up on the month, and 3.5 down on the year against the single European currency.

POZAREVAC -- Komercijalna Banka (bank) and the B92 Fund have provided the maternity ward of the general hospital in the town of Pozarevac with all the necessary equipment.

The bank and the fund are collaborating in the "Battle for the Babies" humanitarian campaign....

Macedonia Urges Power Companies to Write Off Debts

Macedonia’s Finance Ministry has urged utility companies to hurry up and apply to join a government-backed scheme to write of the debts of the poorest customers.
In return for canceling the debts, the government is offering the companies annual tax breaks.

Prime Minister Nikola Gruevski added to the call to companies to take part in the scheme at the weekend.
