The UN court in The Hague is delivering its final verdict on Wednesday in the war crimes retrial of top Serbian State Security officials Jovica Stanisic and Franko Simatovic, who have appealed against their 12-year sentences for involvement in wartime crimes in Bosnia and Herzegovina.

ZVECAN - The situation in Zvecan was calm on Tuesday morning and Kfor troops are still deployed outside the local municipal building following Monday's clashes between Kfor and Serb protesters, a Tanjug reporter on the ground said.

The main street of the town is blocked and Kfor troops are now deployed around a much wider area surrounding the building and along streets.

In the municipalities of Zubin Potok, Zvean and Leposavi, there were no incidents during the night, and the number of KFOR members was increased.
Serb protests have been scheduled for today in Zvean, Zubin Potok and Leposavic.

Türkiye, on May 29, called on all parties in northern Kosovo to return to dialogue and a sense of calm, as clashes between NATO troops and ethnic Serbs intensify.

"We follow the events in the north of Kosovo with concern. These events harm regional security and stability," the Foreign Ministry said in a statement.

25 soldiers from NATO's multinational force in Kosovo - KFOR have been injured during clashes with Serbs in the northern part of the country.

The condition of three of them is serious. The servicemen were injured by explosive devices. Among the injured are 11 Italians.

Serbian President Aleksandar Vui addressed the citizens regarding the current situation in Kosovo and Metohija and stated that he will not allow the pogrom of the Serbian people.

At least 50 protesters and more than a dozen NATO peacekeepers from KFOR were injured on Monday in Kosovo's northern town of Zvecan/Zvecane in clashes which erupted in the afternoon.

BELGRADE - Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic said on Monday evening Pristina's PM Albin Kurti was the only one to blame for the latest developments in Kosovo-Metohija and had only one desire - to cause conflict in the province and lead the whole region to bloodshed.

ZVECAN - Many people were injured in Monday's clashes between Kfor troops and Serb protesters in Zvecan, a Serb-majority municipality in northern Kosovo-Metohija, a Tanjug reporter on the ground said.

One of the protesters was shot and wounded with an AK-47 rifle and subsequently hospitalised with an exit wound.

ZVECAN - Several Serbs, including a Tanjug reporter on the ground, were injured in Monday's clashes between Serb protesters and Kfor troops in Zvecan, a municipality in the north of Kosovo-Metohija.

The reporter suffered minor injuries after a stun grenade fell to his feet and exploded.
