PM Mitsotakis affirms amicable relations with Orthodox Church

Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis on Friday affirmed the amicable ties between his conservative government and the Orthodox Church.

"Our collaboration within the framework laid out by the institutions has been and remains exceptionally close," Mitsotakis said during a meeting with Archbishop Ieronymos in the town of Dilesi, in Greece's central Viotia region.

Far-right MP Floros released on bail with restraining order following parliament brawl

Konstantinos Floros, an independent MP, formerly with the far-right Spartiates party, was released on bail with a restraining order on Thursday after being arrested for attacking and punching another MP, Vassilis Grammenos, in Parliament the day before.

After his release, Floros must abide by a restraining order to stay at least fifty meters away from Grammenos.
