Conservative MP Miltiadis Varvitsiotis resigns seat in Parliament, leaves politics
New Democracy lawmaker and former shipping minister MIltiadis Varvitsiotis announced on Thursday he had resigned his seat in Parliament and is leaving politics, without citing a reason.
The surprise announcement was made after he informed Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis this morning, sources said.

Tuesday’s cabinet likely to be postponed after PM contracts H1N1
Tuesday's cabinet meeting, which was expected to address the same-sex marriage bill, is likely to be postponed due to Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis contracting H1N1, his office announced on Monday.

Mitsotakis and von der Leyen to meet in Davos on Thursday
Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis will on Thursday meet European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen on the sidelines of the annual meeting of the Davos World Economic Forum, Commission chief spokesman Eric Mamer told reporters in Brussels on Monday.
Mitsotakis will travel to Davos to participate in the World Economic Forum on Wednesday.
