Almost five months have passed since the general elections, and one month since the municipal and regional elections. Opinion polls validate what was observed during the voting process. There are no surprises, even though unprecedented disasters struck between the two races.

Greek Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis characterized the bilateral relations with China as "strong and mutually beneficial" during his meeting with Chinese President Xi Jinping in Beijing on Friday.

During a meeting with his Chinese counterpart, Li Qiang, in Beijing on Friday, Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis emphasized the strong and positive state of Greek-Chinese relations. 

There is mounting concern among commentators and analysts over the future of Greek-Turkish talks aimed at gradually normalizing relations between the two countries. This is especially so in light of the meeting that has been announced between Greek Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis and Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan on December 7 in Thessaloniki.

The government is moving forward with the evaluation of municipalities and the introduction of a system whereby funding will hinge on performance in certain key areas.

Deputy Foreign Minister for Economic Diplomacy and Openness Kostas Fragogiannis is to visit China on Thursday, accompanied by the general secretary of international economic relations and openness, Maira Myrogianni.

Greek Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis will visit China on November 2-3, Chinese state news agency Xinhua reported on Wednesday.

The visit follows an invitation of Chinese Premier Li Qiang, Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesperson Wang Wenbin said.

Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis on Wednesday met with SYRIZA leader Stefanos Kasselakis, marking their first encounter since Kasselakis assumed leadership of the leftist opposition party.

The meeting, which lasted approximately one hour, took place at the prime minister's parliamentary office.

Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis was on Wednesday holding a meeting with the leader of the leftist opposition, Stefanos Kasselakis, marking their first encounter since Kasselakis assumed the role of the new SYRIZA leader.

Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis is scheduled to meet with the main opposition leader, Stefanos Kasselakis, on Wednesday, it was announced on Monday. 

The meeting is set to take place at 10 a.m. at Mitsotakis' parliamentary office, according to government spokesman Pavlos Marinakis.
