New lighting system befitting of Poseidon

The official ceremony of the modern illumination of the ancient Temple of Poseidon on Cape Sounio took place on Monday evening to the imposing melodies of Greek composer Stavros Xarchakos.

The ceremony was inaugurated by Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis, in the presence of Culture Minister Lina Mendoni and guests from Greece and abroad.

Government unveils measures to boost income and address housing crisis

According to the Athens-Macedonian News Agency, the package of measures announced last Saturday in Thessaloniki by Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis and detailed during the week by the relevant ministries, aim to increase the disposable income of citizens.

These measures are focused on two main axes: increasing incomes and reducing taxes.

‘Do you see anyone better?’

This government often shifts responsibility to third parties: The high cost of living is blamed on "imported inflation," soaring electricity prices on the war in Ukraine, and destructive wildfires on "uncleared plots," among other things. While there may be some truth to these claims, they do not address the problem comprehensively.

The discussion focused on the possibility of granting SEF to the Olympiacos basketball team so that they can have their own “home.”
