Greek Super League champion to be decided in play-offs from next season
The Greek Super League, the country’s professional football body, has decided to limit the competing teams from 16 to 14 from the next season by a narrow majority. The body’s board members also decided to change the structure of the end of season play-offs, with the league’s champion also participating in the mini-championship at the end of the regular season.
Medical tourism has great potential
Greece needs to tap the huge market of medical tourism that neighboring countries are already greatly benefiting from, the secretary-general of the Greek Medical Tourism Council, Paris Kokorotsikos, told the 2nd Tourism Conference, titled "High Added Value Tourism" and co-organized by five bilateral chambers, which took place in Thessaloniki on Monday.

Paralympian accused of murdering employee claims self-defense
A 39-year-old Paralympic athlete was set to face an investigating magistrate on Monday after fatally shooting a 47-year-old man who worked for him at an OPAP betting store managed by the accused in Moschato, southern Athens, on Friday.
The athlete claimed he was acting in self-defense, saying the victim threatened him and his family.

Greece denies report on Parthenon Marbles
The Ministry of Culture and Sports has denied a report published in Britain's Independent newspaper Tuesday that it had called for the return of the Parthenon Marbles, also known as the Elgin Marbles, from the British Museum as a symbolic gesture against anti-democratic forces that seek "the dissolution of Europe."
