Turkey to buy RAF military transport aircraft declined by Athens
Turkey's air force has agreed to acquire a total of 12 C-130 military transport aircraft from the British Royal Air Force, previously declined by Greece, to reinforce its transport capacity, according to Turkish media reports.
The British and Turkish sides have reportedly reached an agreement in principle and will soon sign contracts.
Available C-130 Hercules transport planes rises to five
The arrival on Monday of the C-130 Hercules of the Hellenic Air Force at the Elefsina Air Base has raised the number of available transport force aircraft of the 356 Tactical Transport Squadron to five.
This is one of two C-130 Hercules that joined the NATO Support and Procurement Agency (NATO NSPA) support program and were transferred to Portugal to be maintained by OGMA.

The meeting in Athens on Friday between representatives of US company Lockheed Martin with the Chief of the Hellenic Air Force General Staff Dimosthenis Grigoriadis will, Kathimerini understands, have a specific agenda, including a number of armament programs in which Greece has expressed interest.

Military transport aircraft to symbolically fly over the Acropolis
The Hellenic Air Force General Staff announced that four military transport aircraft will fly over the Acropolis on Tuesday morning between 9.10 a.m. and 9.40 a.m. Specifically, there will be 2 C-130J of the United States Air Force assigned to the USAFE-AFAFRICA missions, accompanied by a C-130 and a C-27 of the Hellenic Air Force.

9 People Died in a US Military Plane Crash
Nine US soldiers died in a plane crash crashing into Savannah, Georgia, the BNR reported.
The plane is a cargo C-130 "Hercules", which belongs to Puerto Rico's National Guard.
It crashed in the immediate vicinity of Savannah Hilton Headquarters International Airport, the US Air Force said in a statement.
The plane carried out a training flight, added the National Radio.

Lockheed Martin Corp has won a preliminary contract valued at up to $5.37 billion to build a ninth batch of 55 F-35 jets for the U.S. military and its allies, the U.S. Defense Department said on Nov. 3.
