Indian rover begins exploring Moon's south pole

India began exploring the Moon's surface with a rover yesterday, a day after it became the first nation to land a craft near the largely unexplored lunar south pole.

Pragyan - "Wisdom" in Sanskrit - rolled out of the lander hours after the latest milestone in India's ambitious but cut-price space program sparked huge celebrations across the country.

South Korea’s lunar orbiter sends photos of Earth, Moon

South Korea's first-ever lunar orbiter Danuri has sent black-and-white photos of the Moon's surface and Earth, the national space center said yesterday. 

Danuri, a portmanteau of the Korean words for "Moon" and "enjoy," was launched on a SpaceX rocket from the United States in August 2022 and entered lunar orbit last month.

The complicated maneuver lasted 1738 seconds.

The Indian space ministry has announced the successful completion of the maneuver for the entry of the Chandrayaan-2 lunar station into the orbit of the Earth's natural satellite, according to world agencies quoted by BTA.

NASA Accelerates Its Plans to Land on the Moon

The US space agency plans to stay there, reported NOVA TV. 

NASA is speeding up its plans to return to the Moon, and this time, the US space agency says it will stay there.

Jim Bridenstine, NASA Administrator, said the agency plans to speed up plans backed by President Donald Trump to return to the Moon using private companies.
