Charalampos Pitsolis claimed victory in the 41st Athens Marathon on Sunday, finishing with a time of 2 hours, 18 minutes, and 56 seconds.

The event's medal was unveiled during the official press conference for the 41st Athens Authentic Marathon on Thursday at the Tae Kwon Do Arena at Faliro in southern Athens.

Tamirat Tola from Ethiopia emerged victorious in the marathon at the Paris 2024 Olympic Games, setting a new Olympic record by finishing the race in 2:06:26, breaking Samuel Wanjiru’s 2008 record of 2:06:32 from Kenya.
