Shop closures extended to April 11
All retail shops that were shut down by the Greek government starting March 14 will remain closed until at least April 11, according to a ministerial decree published Sunday.

Netflix to cut bite of data traffic in Turkey
As data cables buckle under a heavier load, streaming service Netflix announced on March 27 that it is set to reduce its share of telecommunications traffic in Turkey and elsewhere by 25 percent.
The statement came amid the global coronavirus outbreak, which first emerged in Wuhan, China last December and has spread to over 176 countries and regions.

H&M to close stores, including some in Greece, due to virus
H&M, the world's second-biggest fashion retailer, said on Monday it was evaluating all its activities and temporarily closing stores in 12 more markets due to the coronavirus as it reported a 24 percent quarterly sales slump in China.
Stores close, with some exceptions
Greece's efforts to contain the spread of the coronavirus will as of Wednesday extend to the shutdown of the majority of retail stores for at least two weeks. At the same time the government is expanding by two hours daily the opening hours of supermarkets, which will also operate on Sunday, so as to reduce congestion.

E-supermarket struggle with demand surge
Online supermarkets are currently so inundated with orders that deliveries can take up to a week.
As e-supermarket visitor numbers were low - albeit growing - before the coronavirus epidemic hit, most didn't have the necessary infrastructure to deal with a threefold increase in orders in just a few days. The demand for storage space and delivery vehicles has shot up.

Retail sales volume up 9.6 percent in January
Turkey's calendar-adjusted retail sales volume with constant prices rose 9.6 percent year-on-year in January, the country's statistical authority announced on March 13.
"In the same month food, drinks and tobacco sales increased by 5.5 percent," TÜİK said.
