French Finance Minister Michel Sapin on Friday again commented on the issue of the Greek debt, saying the amount must be “re-evaluated” and pointing to October as the commencement of talks on the issue.

He also called on the Greek government to assume its responsibilities.

In an interview to German Handeslblatt French Finance Minister Michel Sapin blasted his German counterpart Wolfgang Schauble on his plan for a temporary Grexit. Sapin points out that Schauble is in the wrong on the Greek issue, adding “…he contradicts his own will for Europe”.

Although the history of finance inspection and examination bodies within the state apparatus can be traced back to the early days of the Ottoman Empire, the emergence of a modern, professional and self-supporting bureaucratic unit tasked to oversee virtually all revenues, properties and expenses of the vast Ottoman lands came in the last quarter of the 19th century.

“There is progress with the last list … Is there a need for more progress? Yes – in the quantification of the measures,” Sapin told reporters in Paris.

BELGRADE - The Serbian Ministry of Finance has informed local government officials about reforms concerning public finances, public funds planning and introduction of financial management, the ministry said on Friday.
