Greek prefer domestic destinations for their Easter holiday breaks, according to travel search engine “Trivago.gr”. Corfu, Rome and Monemvsasia are their top 3 picks for this year’s Easter holidays, with Rome falling from top spot after three years in a row.

Telegraph includes six Greek islands among the 18 best “secret” island paradises in Europe.

The Greek islands, that the British newspaper distinguishes are Kastellorizo, Meganisi, Monemvasia, Kea, Koufonisia and Ios and it describes them as follows:

A trip to scenic Monemvasia is offered by lawyer, author and researcher Nikos Vasilatos. His lecture, titled “Monemvasia: Gibraltar of Greece (History – Monuments)” at the Benaki Museum (cnr of Vas Sofias and Koubari sts, Athens) focus on the history and monuments of the fortified city.
