Dr Arlette David, a professor at the Hebrew University of Jerusalem and member of Israel's Institute of Archaeology, will deliver a lecture on "Akhenaten's and Nefertiti's Monotheism: What the Images Reveal," at the Iconic Center. The lecture, which will be in English, is organized by the university, together with the Hellenic Institute of Egyptology and the Jewish Museum of Greece.

Muslim countries to found humanitarian aid platform

The huge burden of the world's natural and manmade disasters are on the shoulders of the Muslim countries, yet their civil societies are not strong enough to respond, according to the head of Kızılay, the Turkish Red Crescent. Canadian liberal politician Kathleen Wynne’s recent visit to a Toronto mosque is making headlines – but probably not for the reasons she was hoping for.

Wynne – known in Canada for being an outspoken lesbian and feminist – reportedly visited the mosque in an effort to show solidarity with Canada’s Muslim community after an attacker shot and killed six people at a Mosque in Quebec.

No difference between humans and animals, says Turkey's Religious Affairs Directorate

The Directorate of Religious Affairs (Diyanet) has issued a statement addressing violence against animals after a number of videos spread on social media, saying there is "no difference between humans and animals," state-run Anadolu Agency has reported.
