Moscovici: Greece has made major progress, but still not out of the woods
Greece has made major economic progress but it is still not out of the woods, the EU's economy commissioner, Pierre Moscovici, said Tuesday after Athens outlined plans to return to the financial markets for the first time since 2014.

European Commissioner for Economic and Financial Affairs, Taxation and Customs Pierre Moscovici estimated Greece was finally seeing a light at the end of the tunnel after many years of economic hardship. “Conditions of trust had to be created, something that was achieved. Was it really tough? Undoubtedly. Was it necessary? Yes”, he underlined.

Moscovici welcomes deal, calls for 'understanding' on debt
Pierre Moscovici, the European commissioner for economic and financial affairs, has called a preliminary deal between Greece and its lenders "a very positive development."
"It is time to turn the page on this long and difficult austerity chapter for the Greek people," Moscovici said in a statement Tuesday.
Agreement on final package to be reached soon, Eurogroup chief Dijsselbloem says
“I hope the procedures to have been completed before the end of May”, said Eurogroup chief Jeroen Dijsselbloem addressing on Thursday the European Parliament during a debate on the Greek programme.
On his part European Commissioner Pierre Moscovici noted that “Greece can turn page but it must be supported”.
Moscovici: Greek bailout review talks converging, more steps needed
European Commissioner for Economic and Financial Affairs Pierre Moscovici said on Wednesday Greece's talks with its official lenders on concluding a bailout review have made progress but more steps are needed to wrap it up.
Moscovici is in Athens to help close a review of Greek reforms which has dragged on for months.
Katrougalos to meet Moscovici in Brussels
Alternate Foreign Minister Giorgos Katrougalos, who is responsible for European affairs, was expected to meet with European Economic and Monetary Affairs Commissioner Pierre Moscovici on Wednesday in Brussels.
Talks were expected to focus on obstacles surrounding the second review of Greece's third bailout and geopolitical issues.

Pierre Moscovici: Second review will not close on Thursday
European Commissioner Economic and Financial Affairs, Taxation and Customs Pierre Moscovici told reporters in Dublin, Ireland Tuesday that the Commission was hoping to reach a final deal on the second review on the Greek bailout program as soon as possible. Mr. Moscovici stressed, however, that completing the agreement would not “obviously occur on Thursday.”
