Russia-Ukraine crisis: German-French-Russian "last chance" meeting follow-up

French President Francois Hollande and German Chancellor Angela Merkel tried a last-ditch effort to put an end to the war in Ukraine. Despite more than five hours of talks at the Kremlin between Russian President Vladimir Putin and the leaders of France and Germany, there was no deal to end the fighting in the eastern Ukraine. The three, however, agreed to continue diplomacy.

European Leaders Attempt 'Last Chance' for Peace in Ukraine

German Chancellor Angela Merkel and French President Francois Hollande proposed a new peace plan during their visits to Ukraine and Russia on Thursday and Friday.

Hollande described the new proposal as "one of the last chances" to end the crisis in Ukraine, the BBC reports.

Merkel was not certain whether the plan would succeed, but it was "definitely worth trying".

Bulgarian President Plevneliev among Main Speakers at Munich Security Conference

Bulgarian President Rosen Plevneliev will participate in the opening of the 51st Munich Security Conference on Friday. Chairman Wolfgang Ischinger, Germany's Federal Defense Minister Ursula von der Leyen and NATO Secretary General Jens Soltenberg are also going to be a part of the ceremony.

Dacic in Rome on stabilization of relations with Albania

BELGRADE - A trilateral meeting of the foreign ministers of Serbia, Albania and Italy, on Belgrade-Tirana relations and regional cooperation, was held in Rome on Friday.

The meeting was organized at the initiative of Italian Foreign Minister Paolo Gentiloni, and the participants included the foreign ministers of Serbia and Albania Ivica Dacic and Ditmir Bushati.
