11-Year-Old Syrian Boy Donates Savings to Help Burned Bulgarian Village of Krastava

A Syrian boy donated his one-year savings to help the poor people in the village of Krastava, whose homes burned down - Pirin News writes.

11-year-old Firas Zayad collected BGN 175 in coins and banknotes in his piggy bank, which he now donates. The child donates for the third time.

Bulgaria Elections 2021: Alcohol Banned in Several Municipalities

Plovdiv mayor Zdravko Dimitrov has banned the sale, serving and consumption of alcohol in public catering establishments and other public places on April 4, the day of Bulgaria's parliamentary elections.

The ban will be in effect from 6am until 9pm on Sunday. Voting in Bulgaria's parliamentary elections is scheduled to end at 8pm.

Schools in 10 Regions of the Country Closed over the Flu Outbreak

The Ministry of Education has announced that schools are closing down in 10 regions of the country over the flu outbreak. In three regions - Bourgas, Pernik and Shumen - all schools are closed, in seven regions only some.

As of today until 8 March, schools are closed in the municipalities of Kostinbrod, Svoge, Botevgrad, Pravets, Zlatitsa, Koprivshtitsa, and Sofia-region.
