Symposium to showcase finds from 1600 BC tomb found in Marathon
The tomb of a warrior, and its contents, discovered in 2016 in the area of Plasi on the plain of Marathon in eastern Attica, will be presented at a symposium organized by the University of Athens which starts on Thursday.
Map showing the homeland of every character in Homer’s Iliad
This is a map showing where all of the characters originated in Homer’s epic poem The Iliad. I know Greece is small by today’s standards, but it was surprising to me how geographically widespread the hometowns of the characters were. Agamemnon’s throne found at Mycenaean Acropolis
Archaeologists say that they have found the throne of Agamemnon stating that was probably the most important archaeological find concerning the Mycenaean civilization, as Realnews newspapers states.
Part of the throne of Agamemnon was found within walking distance of the Acropolis of Mycenae. The find, dated back to 13th century BC, is quite big and weighs more than 50 kg.

Archeologists at Pylos, on the southwest coast of Greece, uncovered a rich grave of a warrior buried there at the dawn of Europen civilization at around 1,500 BC.
