Electricity and natural gas prices hiked
Authorities have announced hikes in electricity and natural gas prices for households as well as industrial users.
The Energy Market Regulatory Authority (EPDK) said in a statement that electricity prices for households and industry were increased by 15 percent and 25 percent, respectively.
The new tariffs took effect as of June 1.

According to the statement the state-owned company released, natural gas prices for households and industrial facilities were hiked by 35 percent and 50 percent, respectively.

Botaş lowers gas flow to industry, power stations
Turkey's Petroleum Pipeline Corporation (Botaş) has lowered natural gas flow to large industrial sites and power stations by 40 percent because of a disruption in pipeline gas imports from Iran.
The national pipeline company has taken all neceassary measures for households not be affected by the shortage, a statement released in the evening on Jan. 20 said.

Turkey’s first publicly owned FSRU project inaugurated
With 110 million cubic meters of storage and 28 million cubic meters of gasification capacity, Turkey's first publicly owned floating liquefied natural gas (LNG) storage and gasification vessel (FSRU) will add significant flexibility to Turkey's energy supply chain security, according to Energy and Natural Resources Minister Fatih Dönmez.
'Ertuğrul Gazi' FSRU vessel now flies Turkish flag
Turkey's first floating LNG storage and gasification vessel (FSRU) "Ertuğrul Gazi" is registered to the Turkish International Ship Registry on March 3.
According to the social media account of the Ministry of Transport and Infrastructure's General Directorate of Maritime Affairs, Ertuğrul Gazi flew the Turkish flag.
