Magnitude 3.8 earthquake rattles Istanbul

A magnitude 3.8 earthquake struck near Istanbul, Turkey early on April 14. 

The quake occurred off the Black Sea coast of Arnavutköy district at 2.56 a.m. local time (2356GMT), according to Turkey's Disaster and Emergency Management Authority (AFAD).

It had a depth of 7.03 kilometers (4.3 miles), according to officials.

There were no immediate reports of casualties.

New Earthquake Shook Zagreb

A new 3.7-magnitude earthquake shook Zagreb this morning, according to the Index website. Its depth was 2 kilometers.

The quake lasted a few seconds, BTA reported. 35 earthquakes were recorded since yesterday.

A day ago, the Croatian capital was shaken by two other earthquakes, which caused serious damage.

Magnitude 5.0 earthquake strikes eastern Turkey

An earthquake with a magnitude of 5.0 struck the eastern Elazığ province of Turkey on March 19.

The quake, which occurred at 8.53 p.m. local time (1753GMT), had a depth of 21.34 kilometers, according to the Disaster and Emergency Management Presidency (AFAD).

There are no reports of casualties or damage so far.

Strong Earthquake in Greece

A 5.1 magnitude earthquake on the Richter scale was registered in Greece on Thursday. The epicentre was in the Karditsa region, according to the Athens Institute of Geodynamics. The depth of the quake was 9 kilometers.

No material damage was reported.

5.9 Magnitude Еarthquake Registered off the Greek Island of Karpathos

Another strong earthquake was just recorded off the Greek island of Karpathos in the southern Aegean Sea, Kathimerini reports.

According to the information, the 5.9 magnitude quake was felt at 1:21 pm local time. Its epicentre is 74 kilometers southeast of Karpathos and at a depth of 10 kilometers, according to Euro-Mediterranean Seismological Center data.

A Strong Earthquake Shook Tirana

5.5 magnitude earthquake struck Tirana.

The epicentre of the earthquake, which was registered at 21.17 local time, was in the Adriatic Sea.

The quake forced people to take to the streets of the Albanian capital. So far, there is no information of there are victims.

An earthquake of magnitude 7.7 shook Cuba, Jamaica and the Cayman Islands.
