Tests on dead LGBTQ activist do not point to drugs
Toxicological tests carried out on the body of Zak Kostopoulos, a 33-year-old LGBTQ activist who died after being attacked in an incident at an Athens jewelry store in September did not indicate that the victim had used drugs or other substances prior to his death, it emerged on Monday.

Four arrested as suspected members of cocaine smuggling ring
Greek police arrested four men believed to be members of a gang that imported cocaine from Western Europe in trucks.
The suspects, two foreign nationals aged 34 and 38 and two Greeks aged 41 and 50, were arrested on Tuesday in a drug enforcement unit operation in Athens and Arta, a town of western Greece.

Spanish Police Seize 1,400 kilos of Cocaine from a Boat, Bulgarian Among Detained
SPAIN'S National Police force has seized a tugboat found to be transporting 1,400 kilos of cocaine while sailing in waters near the Canary Islands, reports EuroweeklyNews.
The vessel stowing the illegal contraband is named 'The Breath' and reportedly departed from Turkey and carried a Moldovan flag.
Woman arrested for trying to smuggle cocaine in parachute
A 25-year-old woman flying in from Rio de Janeiro in Brazil via Rome was arrested on Tuesday at Athens International Airport for attempting to smuggle more than 6 kilos of cocaine hidden in a parachute in her luggage.
Police said they were investigating whether the woman, a foreign national, was part of a wider network smuggling drugs into Greece from Latin America.

Huge Heroin Bust in Bulgaria
Bulgarian customs officials have seized 712kg of heroin from inside two Iranian trucks entering Bulgaria from Turkey.
Officials on Friday valued the record heroin haul at NZ million.
The drugs were found in two Iran-registered trucks at the Kapitan Andreevo checkpoint on the Turkish border.
They were carrying construction materials and were bound for Austria.
