BELGRADE - All his life, Oliver Ivanovic fought for justice and for the freedom of his people in Kosovo-Metohija and the freedom of the city he lived in, Bishop Theodosius of Raska and Prizren said in Belgrade Thursday during a funeral service for the slain Kosovo Serb politician.

BELGRADE - The Serbian Prosecutor's Office for Organised Crime on Tuesday launched preliminary investigation proceedings in the wake of the assassination of Kosovo Serb politician Oliver Ivanovic in Kosovska Mitrovica earlier in the day.

As much as 58 pct of Kosovo's territory - including state, private and "socially" and church-owned real estate - is the property of Serbia.

It belongs to the state, its citizens and institutions, and the state has the original cadastre documentation to prove this, Tanjug is reporting, citing former head of the Kosovo and Metohija Cadastre Slavica Radomirovic.

A large majority of citizens of Serbia thinks it would not be justified to go into an armed conflict so that Kosovo and Metohija remains a part of Serbia.
