‘Slash your tax exemptions’

Mitsotakis to meet with the OECD Secretary General on Thursday

Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis will meet tomorrow, Thursday 5 December at 10.00 a.m., at Maximos Mansion with the Secretary General of the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD), Mathias Cormann, who is visiting Athens to present the OECD’s Economic Review of Greece.

 

Greek work ethic debunks ‘lazy’ myth

Long-held stereotypes about the work ethic of Greeks have been shattered by recent reports by Eurostat and the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD) reports.

Contrary to the image of the "lazy Greek," data shows that workers in this country clock in more hours weekly and take fewer sick days compared to their northern European counterparts.

Over 120,000 Bulgarians Under 30 Struggling with Debt

According to Georgi Dichev, chairman of the Chamber of Private Bailiffs (CPB), Bulgaria currently has 120,000 debtors under the age of 30. Specifically, 4,000 individuals are debtors under the age of 20, 36,000 are between 20 and 25 years old, and 80,000 fall into the 25-30 age group. The data comes from the CPB's internal database, which tracks such information.
