Operators make first payments for 4.5G technologies in Turkey
A total of 2 billion euros has been paid to the Treasury by the telecommunication companies which won a tender for the launch of advanced 4.5G technologies in Turkey.

Scholarships for students facing financial difficulties
Fifty scholarships worth fifteen thousand euros (15.000€) each, for freshmen students in Greece facing financial and social difficulties, were announced by ΟΤΕ and COSMOTE for the 2015-2016 academic year.
Moody’s confirms OTE’s rating at Caa2
Moody’s on Tuesday confirmed Hellenic Telecommunications Organization S.A.’s (OTE) corporate family rating (CFR) at Caa2 and its probability of default rating (PDR) at Caa2-PD.
At the same time, Moody’s assigned a stable outlook to all ratings.

Fitch: Turkish telecom companies face increasing triple-play competition
Fitch Ratings said it has expected that increased focus on bundled services within the Turkish telecoms market could lead to an increase in content costs, especially for live football broadcast rights in a note on Aug. 24.
Serbia State Telecoms Sell-Off Draws Interest
Sixteen foreign companies and investment funds have submitted a non-binding offer for state telecommunications company Telekom Srbija, local media reported on Wednesday.
The deadline for submitting non-binding bids expired on Monday, but the government has not announced the names of the bidders.

Tsohatzopoulos trial: Prosecutor eyes another five for defence contract kickbacks
