Gigantic ancient arthropod was really 'a very peaceful guy'
It was big. It was weird. And this monster from the primordial seas was also a trend-setter.
Scientists on March 11 announced the discovery in southeastern Morocco of beautifully preserved fossils of a huge arthropod - the group that includes crabs, scorpions, insects, spiders, centipedes and more - that lived 480 million years ago.

Fossils accidentally discovered in an old mine in the northern province of Samsunâs Ladik district have been determined to be a mammoth that lived 2 million-years-ago.

"Welcome to Mesozoic" exhibition opens on April 30
BELGRADE -- The exhibition entitled "Welcome to Mesozoic" will open in the gallery of the Natural History Museum in Belgrade on April 30.
Organizers described the geological era as "a long-gone world and times which still attract the most attention of all the bygone eras".
