Greens win on the road, Reds come close
Olympiakos pushed CSKA all the way in Moscow before going down to the Euroleague favorite on Thursday, but Panathinaikos edged out Buducnost for a much-needed away win on Friday.
Holding CSKA to below 70 points in Russia came close to the miracle that Olympiakos needed to beat the Moscow giant away, but the details worked in the hosts' favor who eventually beat the Greeks 69-65.

Ownership change begins at Panathinaikos
The transfer of Panathinaikos soccer club to the Pan Asia fund, led by Thai business man Pairoj Piempongsant, has officially started with club owner Yiannis Alafouzos announcing on Tuesday the signing of the agreement for the first stage of the transaction concerning the first half of his stake.

Costas Politis, who led Greece to basketball glory in 1987, dies
Costas Politis, the coach of the Greek national team that won the European Basketball Championship in 1987, died on Monday morning after suffering from deteriorating health. He was 76.
Politis became coach of the national side in 1982 and led Greece to 10th place at the World Cup in Spain in 1986. It was the best showing for the Greeks at an international level.
Panathinaikos retains Basket League crown in style
Panathinaikos won a record 37th Basket League title on Sunday with a clear 84-70 victory over its Eternal Rival, Olympiakos, at the Olympic Sports Hall. The Greens won the best-of-five finals with a 3-2 score to retain the league trophy for one more year.

Greens dedicate second win over Reds to Pavlos Giannakopoulos
