Locals save life of stranded caretta caretta turtle in Turkey's Muğla
An unconscious caretta caretta turtle that came ashore in the Aegean province of Muğla on March 12 has been saved by locals, Doğan News Agency has reported.
Local walkers noticed the stranded caretta caretta on land in the Yalancıboğaz area of Muğla's Marmaris district, after which they informed the Environmentalist Association of Marmaris.
Another endangered turtle fatally injured

The rescue of a sea turtle off Crete (vid)
A dead caretta-caretta sea turtle was found off the coast at Petre Beach, Rethymnon, Crete, after being captured in a net. Another nearby sea turtle however was luckier. Cretans who saw the turtle managed to rescue the turtle and free it from the fishermen’s nets.
