IOC: Let's work together for Rio 2016, not dwell on the past

Now is not the time to discuss the past, but to cooperate in order to deliver outstanding Games in 2016, said the International Olympic Committee on Tuesday, in response to the interview that the head of the Rio Olympics Organizing Committee had given to Kathimerini 10 days earlier.

Sochi Paralympics Open Amid Political Backlash
Some 547 athletes from 45 countries will compete for 72 gold medals over 10 days in the 2014 Winter Paralympics in Sochi.
The Games, opened by Russian president Vladimir Putin, will begin amid an escalating political crisis in Ukraine.

Udovicic: Stronger support to Paralympians
BELGRADE - Serbian Minister of Youth and Sports Vanja Udovicic and President of Paralympic Committee of Serbia (POKS) Zoran Micovic signed a funding agreement on Wednesday, based on which the Paralympians will be allocated RSD 42 million (EUR 1 = RSD 116) from the state budget this year.
