Brasseur praises authorities, political actors for reforms
BELGRADE - The President of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe Anne Brasseur on Tuesday praised the Serbian authorities and political actors for initiating the reform process in a resolute manner.
Senic: Russia important for issue of Kosovo's CE membership
BELGRADE - Member of the Serbian delegation in the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe (PACE) Aleksandar Senic said Thursday that further suspension of Russia's voting rights in this international body could weaken the position of Serbia regarding Kosovo's bid to join the Council of Europe (CE).
The 18-member Russian delegation is one the largest in the PACE.
Russia Suspends Its Participation in PACE Until End of Year
The Russian delegation to the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe (PACE) decided on Wednesday to suspend its participation in the body until the end of the year.
The Russian boycott came after PACE passed a resolution earlier on Wednesday, which deprives Moscow of its voting rights until April 2015, the BBC reports.
Vuckovic appointed vice-chair of PACE committee
