Grimaldi Group, a private shipping company based in Naples, Italy, announced that the ferry link between the Greek cities of Patras and Igoumenitsa and Italian city Ravenna will be restored.

The route will be serviced by Italian-flagged Catania ferry, beginning on Monday.

Italian authorities have been unable to find any trace of a Turkish passenger that went missing following the Norman Atlantic ferry disaster on Dec. 28, 2014, even though he called his family from a lifeboat ostensibly following his rescue.

The ferry was traveling from Italy's Ancona to Patras in Greece with 692 passengers on board and a crew of 80 people.

Authorities are investigating the death of a man who fell from the Rio-Antirio suspension bridge in western Greece on Thursday.

The man, believed to be in his 50s, was seen falling from the bridge on CCTV footage around 10 a.m. It was not clear whether the fall was a suicide attempt or an accident.

Five Bulgarian nationals, including a six-year old girl, have been injured in a deadly car crash in Greece.

The car crash occurred on the road from Patras to Pyrgos.

The injured were taken to hospital.
