China lifts visa requirement for Greek travelers
Greek tourists and business travelers visiting China for short stays will no longer need a visa beginning October 15.
The exemption applies to citizens of Greece, Portugal, Cyprus and Slovenia and will remain in effect until December 31, 2025, according to China's state-run television network CGTN.

ISAP trains evacuated after fire
Two Athens metro trains were evacuated after a fire broke out near Neratziotissa station in northern Attica on Wednesday afternoon.
The fire brigade was alerted at around 5 p.m. due to heavy smoke from the fire. The two trains on Line 1 (ISAP), heading toward the northern suburb of Kifissia, were stopped and evacuated, with passengers walking along the tracks to Irini station.

Police are seeking information regarding a fatal traffic accident that occurred in the municipality of Nikaia, western Athens on Thursday.
According to the report, at approximately 5.40 a.m., a motorcycle lost control on Petrou Ralli Avenue, crashing into a tree and a signpost, resulting in the rider's fatal injuries.

The 11th anniversary of anti-fascist rapper Pavlos Fyssas' murder will be commemorated on Wednesday with a gathering in Keratsini, Piraeus, where Fyssas was fatally stabbed by a member of the neo-Nazi group Golden Dawn.
Piraeus: Mobilization after a call about a bomb in the port
An alert is underway in Piraeus due to a bomb call.
Specifically, due to a check by the Explosive Ordnance Disposal Department, traffic is being diverted at the junction of Akti Poseidonos and Gounari streets in the port of Piraeus.
The point in question is at Gate E8 in the port of Piraeus.
The authorities were informed by the Coast Guard.
87-year-old Briton arrested for attempted murder of wife
An 87-year-old man was arrested on Sunday morning in Palaio Faliro, south of Athens, on charges of attempting to kill his wife.
The suspect, a British national, is accused of trying to suffocate his 89-year-old wife with a pillow.
The victim was transported to Tzaneio General Hospital in Piraeus, where she is currently receiving treatment.
