Police arrest Columbia students, clear occupied building in campus unrest

Dozens of helmeted police flooded Columbia University's campus in the heart of New York City on Tuesday to evict a building occupied by pro-Palestinian student protesters and detain demonstrators.

Police climbed into Hamilton Hall via a second floor window they reached from a laddered truck, before leading handcuffed students out of the building into police vans.

Jury set to get case of 3 officers charged in Floyd killing

The jury hearing the case against three former Minneapolis police officers charged with violating George Floyd's civil rights needs only to get instructions from the judge before starting deliberations Wednesday.

Prosecutors and defense attorneys spent a full day Tuesday in closing arguments that recapped a month of testimony and sought to sway the jury toward their view of the case.

Shooting in Nice, there are dead

One person was killed and a man was being sought by police after a shooting occurred in the southern French city of Nice, local paper reported on Wednesday.
The local police force for Nice confirmed that a police operation was underway.
