UNSC session on new report on UNMIK scheduled for April 22
NEW YORK - A UN Security Council session on UN Secretary General Antonio Guterres's new semi-annual report on UNMIK, the UN mission in Kosovo-Metohija, is slated for April 22, according to the UNSC monthly schedule.
The session has been called by Malta, current president of the UNSC.
Lajcak: We will reconvene next week to find solution for cash operations
BRUSSELS - The EU special envoy for the Belgrade-Pristina dialogue Miroslav Lajcak said on Monday in Brussels the chief negotiators in the dialogue had presented their proposals regarding a regulation by the so-called Kosovo's central bank banning the Serbian dinar in Kosovo-Metohija.

Vucic: Serbia is no one's puppet, but independent, sovereign, freedom-loving country
NEW YORK - Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic said in the UN Security Council on Thursday evening Serbia was no one's puppet, but an independent, sovereign and freedom-loving country.
He said this at the end of the UN body's special session on Kosovo-Metohija, in response to a speech by Pristina's PM Albin Kurti.

The session is being held at the request of Serbia, which requested it on Monday due to the situation in Kosovo and Metohija, and the request states, among other things, that the current situation is in sharp contrast to the UN Charter and UN Security Council Resolution 1244.

BELGRADE - China's Ambassador to Belgrade Li Ming said on Wednesday the Kosovo-Metohija issue needed to be resolved through dialogue and within the framework of UNSCR 1244.
Speaking to the RTS, Li said the sovereignty, independence and territorial integrity of the Republic of Serbia must be fully respected.
