Southern Europe remains preferable, but has to invest more

Holidays in Greece and other southern European countries remain cheaper than rival summer destinations internationally, despite the fact that their costs have risen, with tourists preferring the region, Allianz Research noted in a report.

Therefore these countries remain the top choice for European travelers, it noted.

Greece, Portugal sign cooperation deal in civil protection

Greek Minister of Climate Crisis and Civil Protection, Christos Stylianidis, and Portugal's Interior Minister, José Luis Carneiro, signed on Thursday a cooperation agreement in the field of civil protection, during the minister's visit to Lisbon.

Mitsotakis in Lisbon for talks with Portugal counterpart

Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis arrived in Portugal on Sunday for a meeting with his Portuguese counterpart Antonio Costa on Monday in Lisbon.

The meeting will be held in the context of Portugal taking over the rotating presidency of the Council of the European Union for the first half of 2021.
