Sofia Airport Restores Normal Operation After False Bomb Threat

The airport in the Bulgarian capital has restored its normal operation shortly after midnight on Thursday after a false bomb threat led to extra security measures being enforced on Wednesday evening.

As of Thursday, the airport is open and flights are running according to schedule, daily Dnevnik informs.

Electronic public transport tickets are on the way for Greek passengers

The board of the Athens’ Public Transport Organization (OASA) approved the completion of the first phase of a plan to replace or paper public transportation tickets and cards with an electronic ticket in Athen’s transportation system. The new system will be ready for implementation in 2016.

Transport Strikes to Disrupt Traffic in Greece Prior to Labor Day Holidays

The number of security traffic controls in Greece have increased prior to the upcoming Labor Day (May 1) holidays. Travelling of cargo vehicles has been banned.

Meanwhile, flights to and from Greece have been cancelled on account of a three-hour strike. Additionally, marine transport will also be cut for several hours as workers have scheduled massive protests.
