Whatever the outcome of the Greek general elections in May, the next day will be difficult - primarily for the economy and despite the current euphoria. As the governor of the Bank of Greece, Yannis Stournaras, said in a television interview on April 10, "the next government will face a more difficult macroeconomic environment than the previous one."

Coolio 'died from fentanyl overdose'
Coolio, the U.S. rapper best known for the 1995 hit "Gangsta's Paradise," died last year from an accidental fentanyl overdose, the Los Angeles County Coroner said on April 6.
The Grammy-winning musician, whose real name was Artis Leon Ivey Jr, died in September 2022 at a friend's house in Los Angeles.

Madonna casts Ozark’s Julia Garner to play her in biopic
Madonna is to cast Julia Garner in the lead role of her own biopic, which she is herself directing, it has been reported.
According to Variety, Ozark star Garner was offered the role after an extensive audition process, with contenders reportedly including Florence Pugh, Euphoria's Alexa Demie and Odessa Young.

Mariah Carey has been sued in the United States for alleged copyright infringement over her global hit 1994 song "All I Want for Christmas Is You," court documents show.
The plaintiff, a musician named Andy Stone, says he co-wrote and recorded a festive song of the same name in 1989 and never gave permission for it to be used.

British singer-songwriter Ed Sheeran on April 6 won his copyright trial at London's High Court after a judge ruled that his hit song "Shape of You" did not lift musical phrases from another track.
Judge Antony Zacaroli said that Sheeran "neither deliberately nor subconsciously" copied a phrase from British grime track, "Oh Why," when writing the worldwide smash hit.
