Recovery of damaged forests to cost around EUR 20 million
RTANJ - Initial estimates suggest that it will cost EUR 20-25 million to repair the damage to Serbian forests caused by a cold wave late last year and renew them, Srbijasume acting director Predrag Aleksic said on Friday.
Reforestation of razed areas on Tara mountain begins
TARA - Serbia's Public Company National Park Tara and Japanese company Toshiba have launched a reforestation project at the National Park Tara in western Serbia to restore forest areas destroyed in a massive wildfire in 2012.
Over 1800 Decares of Forests to Be Planted in Southwestern Bulgaria
Over 1.3 million saplings will be planted on a territory of over 1800 decares on the territory of the Bulgarian Southwestern State Enterprise, according to a media statement of the entity.
The number of saplings has increased by 1/3 compared to 2013 and by 40% compared to 2012.
