Egypt's government led by Prime Minister Ibrahim Mehleb has resigned, newswires reported on Saturday, citing a statement from the office of President Abdel Fattah Al-Sisi.

The resignation of the cabinet was accepted, the President's office said without giving a reason for the resignation.

Turkey's energy minister has deemed that delivering natural gas from Greek Cyprus via Egypt was not feasible.

Leaders from Egypt, Greece and the Greek Cypriot administration gathered on April 29 to discuss the possibility of delivering Greek Cyprus's natural gas via Egypt.
