As the death toll from the destructive fire in eastern Attica rose to 81 on Wednesday, rescue teams continued the effort to find dozens of people who remained unaccounted for.

More specifically, some 130 army and fire brigade personnel were continuing the search for the missing, whose numbers are difficult to determine.

MATI, Greece (Reuters) - A wildfire killed at least 50 people and injured more than 150 as it swept through a small resort town near Athens, with huge flames trapping families with children as they fled.

A leading member of the Rouvikonas anti-establishment group has been remanded for questioning after allegedly posting a threat on social media against broadcaster Skai TV and radio.

Giorgos Kalaitzidis was remanded in the downtown Athens neighborhood of Exarchia after a social media post from an account in his name threatened to "burn down" the broadcaster.
