The floods in the northwestern Bulgarian town of Mizia have claimed the life of an elderly man.

The man was found dead in his house by his son, an Interior Ministry official who had been dispatched to the flood-stricken area, according to reports of Chief Commissar Nikolay Nikolov, head of the Fire Brigade and Civil Protection Directorate, as cited by bTV.
