The Use of Renewable Energy in Bulgaria Grew by Almost 10%
The consumption of energy from renewable sources has increased by nearly ten percent in Bulgaria during the first seven months of 2017, according to data from the Electricity System Operator, announced on Wednesday, reports Mediapool.

Dutch unveil world's first solar-powered bicycle path
The Netherlands on Nov. 12 unveiled the world's first solar bike path, a revolutionary project to harvest the sun's energy that could eventually also be used on roads.
The so-called "SolaRoad" bike path is made of concrete modules each measuring 2.5 by 3.5 metres (eight by 11 feet), embedded with solar panels covered in tempered glass.

Solar park opens in northern Serbia
BEOČIN -- Serbian Minister of Energy Aleksandar Antić has opened a 1 MW solar power plant in the Beočin municipality, near Novi Sad, in northern Serbia.
The investment is worth EUR 2 million, with EUR 1.4 million secured from an Erste bank loan.
