Sofia police have carried out a specialized operation targeting migrants in several parts of Bulgaria's capital, officials say.
As many as 562 people had their documents checked by police.

The step was requested by Chief Prosecutor Sotir Tsatsarov on two counts of hooliganism in October.

Bulgaria Parliament to Vote on Nationalist Leader Siderov's Immunity
Lawmakers are to decide Thursday whether to lift the immunity of Volen Siderov, the leader of nationalist Ataka party, and Desislav Chukolov, a member of the same party.

Bulgarian Chief Prosecutor Sotir Tsatsarov is due to meet with Chinese counterpart Cao Jianming the latter is visiting the capital Sofia and the city of Plovdiv on Friday and Saturday, officials say.
This is a reciprocal visit after Tsatsarov traveled to China in December 2014.

Bulgaria's Chief Prosecutor Visiting Macedonia
Chief Prosecutor Sotir Tsatsarov and his deputy Borislav Sarafov are paying a visit to Macedonia on Monday and Tuesday, according to the prosecuting authority's website.
Tsvetomir Yosifov, who heads the International department at the Supreme Prosecutor's Office of Cassation, is accompanying them.

FBI head James Comey met on Wednesday Bulgaria's Prime Minister Boyko Borisov in Sofia while on a visit officially said to deal with security cooperation.

FBI Director Comey to Visit Bulgaria Next Week
James Comey, Director of the US Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI), will pay a visit to Bulgaria next week, Sofia-based BGNES news outlet reported on Thursday.
According to insiders, Comey is expected to meet with Bulgaria's Chief Prosecutor Sotir Tsatsarov, 24 Chasa daily said.
James Comey was sworn in as the seventh Director of the FBI on 4 September 2013.
