Low income, not high debt hurts Turkish football
Turkish clubs need to shift their focus from spending levels to income levels in order to deal with their high debts, said an expert. The big three historic clubs could design a regional branding strategy to increase their incomes, Mete İkiz told the Daily News.

"Croatian fans chanting 'This is Serbia' is April Fools"
This happened ahead of the return leg of the ABA League semifinal match between Buducnost Podgorica and Cedevita Zagreb.
Cedevita fans in this way "responded" to Montenegrin club's supporters, who last Monday chanted the same thing in downtown Zagreb.
Montenegrin fans shout "this is Serbia" in Croatian capital
They were brought in for rioting in central parts of the Croatian capital, website 24sata.hr is reporting.
The fans were smashing bottles, ashtrays, and hitting dumpsters in Zagreb's central Bana Jelacica Square. They also shouted, "This is Serbia."
Croatian police announced on Monday that a total of 57 Montenegrin fans had been detained.
Serbia vs Montenegro, Lithuania, Romania in Nations League C
LAUSANNE - The Serbia men's national football team was on Wednesday drawn to play Montenegro, Lithuania and Romania in Group 4 of UEFA Nations League C.
The group winners will be promoted to Nations League B, with the last-placed teams to be relegated to Nations League D.
Serbian women claim gold at EuroVolley 2017
The Serbian women's volleyball national team has won the gold medal at this year's European championship, EuroVolley 2017.
The previous gold in this competition was claimed by Serbia in 2011. This is the 15th medal that the women's team has brought home since 2006 from various competitions.
Turkey won bronze, after defeating Azerbaijan 3-1.

Serbia loses to Slovenia in EuroBasket final
Serbian men's national basketball team has been defeated by Slovenia in the final of the FIBA EuroBasket 2017 European championship.
Slovenia won 93-85 in the final played on Sunday evening in Istanbul, Turkey.

Turkey and Serbia to face off at EuroBasket
Turkey will face a wounded Serbia on Sept. 4 in a key EuroBasket 2017 Group D game after it defeated Great Britain 84-70 on Sept. 2 in Istanbul.
The second game victory was host Turkey's first win in the Group D, while Great Britain was defeated for the second time.

UEFA confirms two-game stadium ban for Partizan Belgrade
NYON - The disciplinary commission of European football's governing body UEFA has officially confirmed a two-game stadium ban and a 130,000-euro fine for Serbian champions Partizan Belgrade.
At the same time, UEFA warned Partizan they would automatically receive a one-game stadium ban in case of a similar offence in the next three years.
