BELGRADE/BANJALUKA - Imposing a Srebrenica resolution on the UN General Assembly agenda is a culmination of violence against law, a scandal and a precedent, Serbian Parliament Speaker Ana Brnabic said on Tuesday.

BELGRADE - Serbian First Deputy PM and FM Ivica Dacic says a draft Srebrenica genocide resolution supported by Bosnia and Herzegovina (BiH) without any involvement from Republika Srpska violates the Dayton Agreement, the BiH constitution and all principles peace in that country rests upon.

BELGRADE - Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic said on Thursday evening he had spoken with the UN General Assembly president and that he would send a letter to him via a special envoy on Monday to request that all procedural breaches regarding a Srebrenica resolution be considered thoroughly.

The demonization of the Serbs as a "genocidal" people is unacceptable, said the spokeswoman of the Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs Maria Zakharova today, commenting on the 28th year since the crime in Srebrenica.

The Kravica warehouse was one of the most notorious killing sites during the genocide of Bosniaks by Bosnian Serb forces following the fall of the town of Srebrenica on July 11.

Suljagi's controversial address took place during a conference dedicated to collective memory held on July 10 this year in Srebrenica.

A joint funeral is being held on Tuesday for 30 victims of the July 1995 genocide of Bosniaks, with thousands of mourners expected to attend the annual commemoration at the Srebrenica Memorial Centre in eastern Bosnia and Herzegovina.

Since the last annual commemoration of the Srebrenica genocide in July 2022, the Bosnian state prosecution has only filed one indictment for Srebrenica crimes - charging a suspect who lives in Serbia and cannot be arrested.

On July 16, 2021, a Greek man called Antonis Mitkos uploaded a photograph to his Facebook page. It shows him dressed in military uniform, arm-in-arm with Bosnian Serb wartime commander Ratko Mladic.

On July 13 and 14, 1995 Bosnian Serb forces killed 1,313 Bosniak men in the warehouse in the village of Kravica after they were captured following the fall of Srebrenica.
