One Russian pilot killed, other rescued by Syrian Army
One of two pilots aboard a Russian warplane shot down by Turkey on Nov. 24 was killed by gunfire while parachuting from the burning plane. Meanwhile, the other pilot was picked up by the Syrian Army, both Russian military and Russia's ambassador to France have confirmed.
Putin: Downing of Warplane to Have Negative Consequences on Russia-Turkey Relations
Russian President Vladimir Putin said that the downing of the Su-24 warplane near the Turkish-Syrian border on Tuesday will have a negative consequences on the relations between Moscow and Ankara.
Putin identified the attack as a crime and highlighted that Russia will not tolerate it, TASS news agency quotes him as saying.
