Details of 'Darzanà' project revealed

The Pavilion of Turkey at the 15th International Architecture Exhibition, la Biennale di Venezia, which will be held between May 28 and Nov. 27, will feature the project Darzanà. The Pavilion of Turkey, coordinated by the Istanbul Foundation for Culture and Arts (?KSV) is located at the Sale d'Armi, in the Venetian Arsenal.

Some 42 people died in a collision between a bus and truck near Bordeaux in Southern France, an official from the local prefect's office said on Oct. 23.

Another 5 people were lighly injured, the official said, after the two vehicules clashed and caught fire.

Four soldiers killed by lightning in southeastern Turkey

Four soldiers were killed on Oct. 22 when lightning struck during an operation against outlawed Kurdistan Workers' Party (PKK) militants in the Da?l?ca district of the southeastern province of Hakkari.

Eleven soldiers were also wounded as a result of the lightning.

Worker carried in trunk of official car in northern Turkey prompts probe

The image of a worker carried in the trunk of an official car belonging to the municipality in the Black Sea province of Bart?n has prompted social media outrage in Turkey.

A driver in traffic captured the photo as the official plated car stopped at the red lights, showing the worker was in the trunk. The driver later shared the image online, captioning it "This is Bart?n, Turkey."
